Our History
We are Karen Newton & Stephen Paull & we're from the North East of England, in a small town named Consett, it's approximately 12 miles from the picturesque and historic City of Durham.
It all began for Stephen, when he was around 8years old, his Mum & Dad contacted Mrs. Minnie Wearmouth, a breeder from Hi-Spen, for a Bulldog puppy. That's when the Paull family got 'Suzie', a beautiful little red & white bitch. His family, occasionally, went to some of the local shows, but, at that particular time, finances didn't stretch to a show career for her. None-the-less, Suzie, unbeknown at that time, had made an important & profound impact on Stephen, which has reflected in his life today. It wasn't long after Suzie's death that the Paulls' purchased their first Bulldog male, just as many of us have said, once you've owned a Bully nothing else will come close!
Stephen & I got together in 1990, but, it wasn't until 1999 that we bought our first Bulldog - Melafella Tyne n Beer at Takamyne, who completely took over our lives & was the start of our showing partnership. We then got our Affix from Stephens other passion which is his guitar.
" Stephen is very proud to be a committee member of our local club The Northumberland & Durham Bulldog club, and has always played an active roll for a number of years now. He was previously a committee member of the British Bulldog Club & the Yorkshire Bulldog Club's too.
